Jan Schomburg
BIO & FILMOGRAPHY
Jan Schomburg, born 1976, is a German director and author. He studied „Visual Communication“ at the Art University Kassel and „Audiovisual Media“ at the Academy of Media Art Cologne. In 2007 Schomburg graduated from the Munich Screenplay Workshop, and received in 2008 a scholarship of the „Andrzej Wajda Master School of Directing“ in Warsaw.
He has written and staged his critically acclaimed cinematic debut ÜBER UNS DAS ALL | ABOVE US ONLY SKY which premiered at the International Film Festival Berlin. His second feature film VERGISS MEIN ICH | LOSE MY SELF was screened in the competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Together with Maria Schrader he wrote the script to the feature film STEFAN ZWEIG – FAREWELL TO EUROPE.
His debut novel DAS LICHT UND DIE GERÄUSCHE was published in 2017.
